Tips for a Safer Summer

For many, summer is the best time of year, with lots to do outdoors. Keep your summer trouble-free by reading these easy tips, and thinking "safety" in everything you do.

Mowing

  • Make sure the guard to your mower deck is in place and working properly.
  • Do not allow small children on your riding lawn mower.

Grilling

  • If your gas grill won't ignite, leave the hood open for a few minutes before attempting to ignite it again.
  • Don't operate your grill too close to the building, and let it cool completely before storing.
  • Keep charcoal lighter out of the reach of children, and never apply it to a lit fire.

Driving

  • Never leave children or pets unattended in your car.
  • Always wear your safety belts.
