Ron Francis ![]() Ron Francis earned a B.S. degree in Accounting from Husson College in 1980 while also serving in the National Guard. He worked as a Staff Accountant in the private sector for about three years before coming to work at Darling's as a Staff Accountant in 1984. After five years he was promoted to Accounting Manager and then in 1990 he was promoted to his current position as Controller. He received his Resident Producer license for Property and Casualty in 2006 and now assists in the overall management of the Darling's Agency. A Maine native, Ron grew up in Belfast and has lived in Hampden for the past 15 years with his wife Julie. He has three children. His daughter Diana is employed at the University of Maine in Orono where his middle child, Ryan, is currently enrolled in the engineering program. His youngest son, Christopher, is a freshman at Hampden Academy. Ron is very active with the Boy Scouts of America and is an Assistant Scout Master. He is very proud that his son Ryan is an Eagle Scout and his youngest son, Christopher, will complete his Eagle Scout requirements this year. Ron is also active with the Masonic Lodge and is a member of Mystic Lodge #65 in Hampden. Is his free time Ron enjoys woodworking and traveling. His most notable trips have been fishing in Alaska, but, most of all, Ron enjoys spending quality time with his family. ron.francis@darlings.com Laurel Wentworth ![]() Agency Manager Laurel Wentworth is the manager of the Darling's Agency. She began her career as a receptionist at a local agency in the mid 1980's, moving quickly into the commercial lines department where she worked extensively in the Bangor market. Laurel obtained her Property and Casualty license in 1996 and, after working on the agency side for 12 years, made the move to work for a large national commercial carrier in marketing and sales. In 2009, she obtained her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and her Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designations. laurel.wentworth@darlings.com Tammi York ![]() Tammi York joined the Darling's Agency shortly after the agency's opening in May 2007. She began her insurance career in Augusta in 2000, working for an independent insurance agency. She obtained her Property and Casualty producer's license in 2003 and has an extensive background in personal lines as well as having general commercial lines experience. Tammi prides herself on the quality of service that she provides to her clients and is a member of International Professional Insurance Women. She resides in Newport with her husband and two daughters. tammi.york@darlings.com Elisa Paylor ![]() Elisa Paylor joined the Darling's Agency in 2008 and focuses primarily on health, life and commercial insurance. She began her insurance career more than 5 years ago, starting out as a receptionist at an agency and then quickly moving up to a commercial producer there. Elisa obtained her property and casualty license in 2003, attended the National Alliance's Producer School in June of 2005, and completed her CIC designation in 2006. She graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and is also an active member of NAIW-Central Maine and Kennebec Networkers (a chapter of BNI), as well as several other community service organizations. elisa.paylor@darlings.com Jason Bishop |
